  • Monday 16 April
    • 08:00-12:00 : Installation of the “seismometer at school” (Julien Balestra, Jérémy Camponovo)
    • 14:30: Opening of the school with Pierre Briole, Boris Behncke, Francesca Cifelli, and the school’s headmasters
    • 15:00-16:45: Session 1 / hands-on : the “seismo box” and the “TC1 seismometer” (Francesca Cifelli, Julien Balestra, Jérémy Camponovo, Diane Carrer)
    • 17:00-18:00 : Session 2 / lecture : teaching seismic risk at school (Diane Carrer, Francesca Cifelli, Jean-Luc Berenguer)

 

  • Tuesday 17 April
    • 08:30-09:45 : Session 3 / lecture : The volcanism of Etna and the geodynamic context (Boris Behncke, Pierre Briole)
    • 10:15-11:30 : Session 4 / lecture : The deformations of Etna and how we measure them (Pierre Briole)
    • 14:00-16:00 : Session 5 / hands-on : Using seismograms data at school (Julien Balestra, Jean-Luc Berenguer)
    • 16:00-18:00 : Session 6 / hands-on : Measuring atmospheric particles with a Calitoo sun photometer (Jeremy Camponovo, Diane Carrer)

 

  • Tuesday 17 April morning: presentation EDUMED to the students of second year (team EDUMED)

 

  • Wednesday 18 April
    • 08:30-10:00 : Session 7 / hands-on : analysis of the data acquired since Monday by the “seismometer at school” (Julien Balestra, Diane Carrer)
    • 11:00-12:00 : Session 8 / lecture : EduMed Obs: a mediterranean environmental observatory for the schools (Jean-Luc Berenguer)
    • 12:00-13:00 : General discussion and preparation of the 2019 school

 

  • Thursday 19 April
    • field trip at Etna (optional)
